Terms and Conditions of the Offer
- These terms apply to customers of HB Markets Plc who introduce a friend, or family member to HB Markets Plc. By providing us with a friend’s name, email address and telephone number(s), HB Markets Plc customers will be deemed to have accepted these terms. Friends of customers will be deemed to have accepted these terms by agreeing to open a HB Markets Plc account following contact from HB Markets Plc.
- Please ensure you have read and accepted HB Markets' Advisory Account Terms of Business and are aware of the Risk Warnings.
- HB Markets Plc is a private client advisory stockbroker wholly owned by HBH Plc.
Please read these terms carefully, as they form a legally binding agreement between you and HB Markets Plc.
1. Terms that apply to the customer and the friend
1.1. Who can apply for this offer? Customers may introduce anyone who qualifies. Qualification requirements for the friend are: (1) he/she must be aged 18 or over, (2) not be an existing customer of HB Markets Plc, (3) not be a customer who has closed his/her account after 30th September 2008, and (4) not have pending application(s) with HB Markets Plc.
1.2. HB Markets Plc reserves the right to withdraw this offer, or to amend the terms of the offer, at its discretion and at any time.
1.3. This offer cannot be used in conjunction or in combination with any other offer.
1.4. If multiple applications/ recommendations are received nominating the same person the first valid application received nominating the same person the first valid application received will be the only one accepted.
1.5. This does not apply to CFD or Spread Betting accounts.
1.6. The offer remains open until 31st March 2012.
1.7. A cash alternative is not available.
2. Terms that apply to the customer
2.1. To be eligible for the offer you must provide us with the current telephone number(s) and the first and family name of the friend whom you are introducing.
2.2. You can confirm that you have spoken to your friend and that he/she is happy for his/her name, telephone number and email address to be used by HB Markets Plc for the purposes of contacting them to explain about this offer.
2.3. Please note that we will not provide you with any information about your friend’s HB Markets Plc account. Please contact your friend if you have questions concerning the fulfillment of the offer conditions.
2.4. Provided that your friend satisfies the terms of this offer and chooses to open an account, within 30 days of the date of completion of their first trade in accordance with our terms and conditions, we will send you a case of 12 bottles as per your marked request.
3. Terms that apply to your friend
3.1 HB Markets Plc will only contact your friend via telephone or email in order to send further information about this offer. Their details will not be used for any other marketing purposes. Please see Section 45 of our Terms of Business regarding Data Protection. HB Markets Plc will not store their personal details in the event that they choose not to participate in this offer.
3.2 To be eligible to open a General Trading Account with HB Markets Plc, your friend must meet the minimum client opening requirements. HB Markets has the right to refuse any applications at its discretion without having to specify a reason.
3.3 You are reminded that HB Markets Plc provides an Advisory service for investments, and your friend’s suitability will be taken in to account for all relevant investments.
3.4 Your friend should be aware that the price and value of investments and the income, if any, from them, can fluctuate and may fall against their interest. When selling investments, your friend may get back less than the funds that they have invested. They must ensure that they fully understand the risks involved.
