Martin Easterman, Investment Advisor

Martin Easterman, Investment Advisor

Martin joined HB Markets in December 2011 having previously gained many years experience as a pension specialist at Barnett Waddingham LLP; Europe’s largest independent firm of actuaries and consultants. During his time with Barnett Waddingham, Martin specialised in the technical aspects of more specialised forms of pension investment such as commercial property investment and AIM listed share purchase by Self Invested Personal Pension Plans (SIPP) and Small Self Administered Schemes (SSAS). Martin pioneered the facilitation of unquoted share purchases by SIPP and SSAS helping to establish this service within the firm.

In addition to the above, Martin worked closely with colleagues within Barnett Waddingham Investments LLP; Barnett Waddingham’s discretionary fund management firm. This experience enhanced his understanding of day-to-day fund management and provided the colleagues in question with valuable pension technical support.

Aside from his pension expertise, Martin has for many years had a keen personal interest in small cap quoted companies (predominately in the commodity/exploration sector). It is therefore not surprising that he has quickly felt at home at HB Markets; a company which provides specialised services in this sector.

Out of the office, Martin is interested in many sports and hobbies ranging from rugby to fishing. Martin especially enjoys practicing archery using traditional English longbow.
